You just hold a button and then let go to fire at all your targets. The lock-on mechanic on Panzer Dragoon Orta works so well too. You won't be able to survive just using one Dragon form. ![]() All forms have both weaknesses and strengths that you'll have to take advantage of all three throughtout the game. Finally, the glide wing, which is the most versatile form, is for dodging and fastest rate of fire, but the damage is weaker than others. The heavy wing, which is the strongest form, takes more damage to enemies but you won't be able to dodge and you can only target up to 5 enemies. The base wing, which is the most balanced out of the three, is that power and speed are equal and you can dodge attacks and target as many enemies as you want. The gameplay mechanics used in Panzer Dragoon Orta are top quality as well. So many people will go "On rails that sucks I won't be able to go everywhere" but Panzer Dragoon Orta plays so fast and shooting is done so well that you won't actually care and start to appreciate that on-rail shooters are still around. The whole game is played in an arcade like shooting which involves a Dragon and a rider named Orta on-rails where you shoot enemies, targets, and other things. ![]() You don't need to have played any old Panzer Dragoon games to get hooked into it, but it'll probably make you feel right at home playing it on the Xbox. The story is presented rather well, with many scenes right from in-game and its best not to spoil it to be honest. You can tell right from the start that Panzer Dragoon Orta is no game under the rating of superb and alot of effort and attention was made to make it similar to the original Sega Saturn titles, but not make the gameplay feel like it couldn't work or say outdated to present gamers. Instead, we are given a game with beautiful presentation that makes some gamers wonder "Was this really pulled off on the Xbox?" or "How did they do it?". I am proud to say that Panzer Dragoon Orta does not fall into this catergory.
